Stella Dokey received a master’s degree in law based on the French Civil Code in 1997 from the University of Lomé, Togo (west Africa) before moving to the United States in May of 2002. In the United States, she attended Highline Community College where she received a paralegal certificate in 2004 and the University of Washington School of Law where she received a Master’s Degree in Law (LLM) in 2007. From 2004 to 2014, Stella worked at the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project as a Board of Immigration Appeals’ Accredited Representative, providing competent legal representation to low income individuals seeking immigration relief before the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Immigration Court. Since the end of January 2014, Stella started her private practice to continue providing quality immigration services to people in need. Stella is admitted to practice law as an attorney in Togo (2000, inactive), the state of New York (2014, active), and the state of Washington (2018, active).
